Typical UK Weather

It was thrashing down at nine o' clock last night where I live. The rain was bouncing off the ground and the wind was howling, trees rustling.

unfortunately its the same over here! There is an all- peninsula alert out for very strong winds, heavy rain and snow. The snow ploughs are already out on standby in Asturias and Cantabria. Much further South in Granada province, we have heavy snow in the higher reaches of the Sierra Nevedas. A trip to the bank this morning, 25kms each way, was interesting to say the least, heavy rain, mucho buffeting from the wind, tree branches on the road and an overturned Range Rover just to add to the fun! Looking at my temperature widget we have 57F in Granada, 63F in Seville and 46F in Portsmouth. So ok its a bit warmer here, but definitely not a day for long walks with the dogs!
My pack took one look at the weather this morning and flatly refused to leave the house.
