The Climate in Seville
The weather temperatures in Seville throughout the year are
generally always above
the national average for Spain, with temperatures in July and August often reaching
the unbearable levels of
over 45ºC.
During the winter months temperatures are still above average for Spain, but they
are accompanied by more frequent showers than the national average. Rainfall
during the summer is practically non-existent making Seville an extremely dry city
for most of the year.
Because of it's inland location, the high temperatures are not usually accompanied
by any winds so the heat can feel quite intense. It's for this reason that
many
people who live in Seville tend to leave the city for at least a month during
the summer and head to the cooler coasts.
If you are travelling to Sevilla make sure you take some total sub block, especially
in July and August. It really does get that hot. You'll also find the
city relatively quiet around early afternoon when temperatures reach their highest.
Seville is a beautiful city but best visited in the non-summer months!
