I have got drug growing tenants with a baby and young child in my house currently, they have been arrested by police and charged for growing cannabis, local papers said over E100k was taken away from my house. Now the local court is so busy it has given me a date of evicting them for September 2013, some 12 months after they were first arrested. they have no assets so will end up with retreiving no money back. To cap it all off I even have to pay there utility bills, if I cut them off they can prosecute me!! How ridiculus is the Spanish legal system? My lawyer in Spain says he is ashamed of the Spanish system but there is little more legally we can do.

Does anyone have any experience of similar circumstances and also is it worth pursuing the property management company that found the tenants in court and what about taking the local town hall to court for not being able to act sooner???

Can anyone tell me what checks a property management company should carry out when looking for long term tenants for your property in Spain. In the Uk the management company carry out certain checks to minimise ending up with tenants from hell as I now find myself having in my house in Andalusia and I can't get the court to legally evict them until next September 2013 as the local courts are so busy. What a great service. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has taken there management company to court for not carrying out resonable checks and searches. Many thanks

Hi

Can anyone explain please!

I have just looked at my Unicajar bank acount and seem that the above item was taken from my account this month without my permission. Is this a court order or the local town hall?

I presume it maybe the IBI as I have not recevied any bill since the place was built 2008 or it could be the transfer tax but i could not see my name on the list sent out last year.

I have used crown for several years and always enjoyed good exchange rates,but not this time from what i can gather they have gone under and like many people I have lost £500. The client funds are not ring fenced by law another example of the FSA not doing there job so i do not expect to see my money again!
