 Hola all!

I'm a newbie here, first post, so please don't bite!

Me and my family have just booked flights to Torrevieja and have decided to go out for Christmas. It will be our first time spending Xmas abroad and we're really looking forward to it!

We'd like a nice hotel to stay in for Xmas eve and Xmas night itself and I was wondering if any of you lovely, knowledgable folk could perhaps point us in the right direction!

We'd like a nice 4/5* hotel somewhere relaxing, but not completely dead either!

We've been looking into staying at the Mar Menor Golf Resort in Torre Pacheco and also the Hotel 525 in Los Alcazares.

We're not really fussed about the location.. anywhere in Cabo Roig, La Zenia, La Manga, Los Alcarzares, La Mata, Guardamar, Playa Flamenca etc etc.. would be fine! Don't mind travelling in order to get a nice hotel

So, to reiterate;

Location - not fussed! Alicante, torrevieja.. it's all good!

Price - No more than E120-ish per night

Nice hotel and nice modern rooms would be a bonus also!

Looking forward to hearing some of your suggestions guys!

Thanks a million!

Morby

Hi Morby - welcome to the forum!

There is a 4* hotel at the Campoamor Golf course in Orihuela Costa and nearer the coast you have the Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel and La Zenia Hotel.  Hundreds of us gather on the beach at the La Zenia Hotel for bucks fizz on Xmas morning which is quite surreal but great fun!  There is music and some people bring BBQs and cook Xmas dinner on the beach.  Clients of mine have also stayed at the Torrejoven in Punta Prima.  I'm afraid I haven't stayed at any of them so am not able to say how good they are but perhaps others here on the forum can give some reviews.

Lots of people who live here actually go up to Benidorm to the Benidorm Palace for the festivities - depends how big a party you want!!  Hope you have a great time wherever you end up!

 Have stayed in the new 525 hotel in Los Alcazares and it is lovely. It is at one end of a precinct where there are lots of restaurants and some shops. BUT - quiet in the Winter and buzzing in the Summer. Beautiful area!
