here is my reply.

old blue yellow house fsfs cards will stop working in the next few weeks - unless sky change yet again thieir timescales (delayed a few times due to post strikes in the uk!)

new white freesatfromsky cards can be ordered direct from sky, to a uk address, for £20. get someone in the uk to call sky up and order one for you, get it posted out here, then your freind will have to contact sky again to get the fsfs card activated.

Just to say also, there is a page on Sky to see if you are eleigibale for a free replacement: https://mysky.sky.com/replacecard/get-a-card Handy if you bought abroad and don't know the registered address as you can have it sent to a UK address of your choice.
