Apparently the moon is supposed to appear to glow red or something. Doubt if I'll get a good view from here - too many red lights in the area. Just popped out on the terrace to see how it's doing. I'm not howling yet.....
BTW Justin, I preferred your old avatar. The new one is just too intimidating!

Blimey Justin, I just scanned through the threads, and it seems mighty quiet on the forum tonight. Either everyone is out doing what they should be doing on a Saturday night, or they're all geeks like you and me, watching the eclipse! Either way, the forum seems to have been overshadowed by something else tonight.........

Was out walking the dog tonight in the far north of scotland on a beautiful night and had a fabulous view of the eclipse hovering over the north sea - very pinkish!!!!

We too saw it too in Gloucestershire - beautiful eveing around 11.30 to midnight - clear sky full of stars but the moon was pink with a thin slither of white - really unique ...... never noticed before ... has it happended before? maybe when you reach a certain age you notice more around you and appreciate the beauty of the clear night sky.
bye Allimal
