Hi everyone
My wife has just moved to Spain (she left me) but don`t worry I will be joining her in a couple of months. She has being informed that she has to get a residents permit to buy a car, is this true or is there anyway around this. She is in Cantabria so can anyone inform us where would be the best place to go to buy a car and can you barter the price down as you can in the UK.
Thanks a lot
Andy

Hi

We bought a car in June and didn't need our residencia, we did need our NIE numbers and our padron. We bought from a main dealer as we bought new and we found some dealers would negotiate others wouldn't.
