I have forward bought on the FOREX market Euros 75,000.   I am looking to deposit this in Spain for about 3 months. Who pays the best interest rates with 100% security?

Please advise.

Rapp

Hi Rapp

Not sure of the details behind it but Barclays seem to be offering a staggering 10% on a savings account at the moment...but like I said, not sure what the conditions are behind it.

Otherwise I think a good savings accounts tends to offer Euribor - 0.5%.

That's about as much as I know!

Justin

Hi Rapp,

The Barclays 10 deposit is to a max of 40,000 euros.

Unicaja are offering 6% for 3 months for up to 150,000 euros. This can only be applied for via internet. Conditions (in English) can be found at www.unicaja.es

Hi Rapp,

Bit confused by your comments. If you have bought Euro's forward, you won't have the funds to deposit until the settlement date you have agreed with the Currency broker/Bank. Are you therefore looking to deposit sterling to cover your future purchase of Euro's or have you already physically bought the Euro's?
