internet regulatory fee

Starlink charge me €9 a month "regulatory fee" on top of my sub. I can't dig up much info on this fee on the web..I don't believe my last internet provider charged it... but perhaps it was buried..unitemised...in the sub. Can anyone throw any light, please?

yeah...the starlink website isn't helpful regarding this fee. there are many spanish providers offering packages at €20 or so a month...I wonder how this fee affects them. i've googles searches such as "spanish internet regulatory fee" and found nada.

In case anyone is interested, Starlink replied to my query...sympathising with me, but explaining that the fee was a tax by the Spanish Govt...could not be avoided...targetting anyone receiving data by satellite. It does not apply to terrestial internet providers.
That said, Starlink reception is fabulous...€49 a month incl the tax.
