Hi,

Hoping i can get some guidance on this, and closure.

My mum lived in Tenerife, and came over to UK to see family as she ofthen did, but, in January of this year she was taken ill, and the next 3 months proved to much, and she passed, during her last week, her husband flew over from Tenerife to specificly retrieve her passport, and take it back to Tenerife, she reported this stolen to the Police, but, then  passed 10 days later, Police refused to follow this up, now, we think it had something to do with the property/will.

She had life insurance, and  funeral plan (which the daughter of the husband, and him cashed in as soon as she passed, leaving me and my brother to pay for funeral service. £4500

She told us she had done a mirror will, I just want to know how you go about finding out if she DID have a will, every person i ask wants to charge me a bloody fortune, I just want to know how i do it myself.

Can anyone point me/mt brother in the right direction?

Kindest Regards

Spanish Wills are retained by the notary before whom they were sworn/signed.

There is a central registry of all Wills made in Spain where certainly a lawyer, gestor etc can obtain details of where the Will is held.  A copy simple ( legal copy) can then be obtained
