Hi everyone
Hoping to relocate beginning of next year and am interested in the La Cala area, can anybody tell me what the rental prices are like in that area and weather there are any good spanish schools nearby. We're a young family and enjoy eating out and being close to bars, beach etc. We would also like to be near ex pats. Any response would be great x

Rentals depend very much on what you are looking for but expect to pay in the region of 800€ per month upwards - that would be for a two bed apartment for a villa of 4 beds could be as high as 2 to 2,500€ per month but a lot depends on exact location.

I have replied re the schools on another thread but there is  agood one in La Cala - its known along the coast as a good school, recently extended. However its quite oversubscribed so you may not get in there.

When you are over go stright there to enrol and as Smiley says the rentals strart at around there, large ex-pat community in the village and its a nice place. Fuengirola rentals can be found from 500 euros for a 2 bed apartment and it has a large expat community, bus and train station with lots going on. It is around 5 mins by car from La Cala
