Hi Hudsey

We also fly from Newcastle and I think the only way to get a cheap flight is to book in advance if you're tied to holidays for work and such as we are.Easy Jet are pretty good if booked well in advance(2 weeks Aug bank holiday weekend this year till mid Sept cost £132 for 2 of us!!) Having said that we booked Jet 2 last minute near easter & it cost me£146 for 2 weeks (just for me, but then £169 for 1 week for my husband to fly out to join me!!)

Thomson Fly is also quite cheap, we used them at Christmas.XL also fly from Newcastle but you're restricted to 7 or 14 nights, likewise with Airtours.

Hudsey .          JeansSis  is  correct  as  you  know  Bank Holidays  / school holiday  time the flights go up , the £600+  for  4 adults  return is proberly  about right  some times if you book  3-4 months ahead you can get  the best  prices  but  not  always enjoy your trip.   many regards Rosi n.

For anyone interested there's quite a few £4.99 flights just been released onto Jet2 website for May & June - need to book quick though - they'll soon be gone.

I think the best option is flying with Easyjet or Monarch. I have compare prices in this travel site.

Found the Trabber site, but not very cheap. Maybe I should try other dates.

Already looked at easyjet, but I obviously missed the deals for that hour.  Will try thr Ryanair site. thanks for the info.

Hello eilben,

Trabber just aggregate content from airline and online travel agencies as you would do it manually. So, I would say that maybe there is nothing cheaper.

Thanks Danzar 1972.

i checked the Ryanair site for Murcia from East Midlands, found flights for the 2 of us for £70, on returning to their site I checked the £10 offers & the same flight was £120. I do have fun with these sites, I am now booking well into next year.

Hope you manage to find what you want.

regards

Eileen

We travelled with Ryanair and I would never do it again unless my back was against the wall.  They charged us extra for everything.  No wonder they advertise on the basis "if you can find a cheaper flight elsewhere, etc".  Of course you can't, because the price they advertise doesn't include your luggage which straightaway, if it's larger than hand luggage, you pay extra for.  Then anything over 15kgs is £5.50/kg as well - and that's the flight out.  Same coming back, slightly cheaper and in Euros.   Be warned.   We had to collect a ticket at check in, queue at their customer service cabin with all the other p.ss.d off people, pay the extra, join the queue and hand over the stamped ticket to get our boarding passes.  Their people were stressed out and undermanned so there was a very long queue.  They dealt with it by avoiding eye contact and keeping their heads down.

On the way out, we were packed in like sardines and the seats were locked in the upright position.   There was no inflight magazine and the stewards/stewardesses passed up and down flogging everything to make you part with your money.  The price of drinks and food was more expensive than other budget airlines.

So, if you think Ryanair is cheap .. think again!
