Just seen THIS Check it out for yourself all those who need to leave the Torrevieja area.

Posted: Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:23 pm

'just heard that a coach is going from Villamartin to Kings Cross early tomorrow 150 pounds each. This one is full but if there are enough passengers there is every chance another one will go on Tuesday, they are just checking they have still got their ferry booking. Only heard all this second hand and I am going to check with the organiser tomorrow at 10.a.m. I hear that it is driving all the way and then taking the ferry from france to the u.k. and then driving to Kings Cross. I know of a family of 7 who have to get back so going to check on their behalf, so if anyone else is interested I could give them some likely numbers. Understand they need 70 and they have 24 at the moment.'

I have just been on the JET2 website and for those of you who are using this airline and flying out of Alicante & Murcia Airports there is a road and ferry transport being provided on Monday 19th April 2010.  Check their website for more details.  I understand that there is limited spaces, so if you want to go home act fast.

Hope this helps

Hello Eian

Yes, I saw that in another forum  (click on blue link) earlier & posted about it in Flight cancellations today 18 Apr 2010 22:32 & was going to post it in here but my sister Skyped me so it was left.

I wrote ' I saw that on another forum where two members said 'Jet 2 are going by land from Alicante and Murcia on the 19th April' and 'at €228 not cheap. Those with existing bookings are expected to pay and be refunded.....'

Sunshine FM (local Torrevieja radio) just said there's a coach leaving Alicante airport tomorrow at 10am going to the Eurostar train terminal in Paris, (who are now putting on extra trains to England). Cost 250 euros.

email... info@costa-blanca-transfers.com with your name, mobile number, number of passengers etc. They gave a phone number 966 196 609

Yes, I saw that. We are glued to any info to get us home though we have our own place in Spain, own our own Spanish car & are retired. We have Easyjet reservations from Bristol to Murcia for returning here ... if we ever get home, that is .. on May 25th for  a month so friends say 'why don't you just stay?' Well, we might but I like my UK home, I want to get home. I quite fancy a cruise!

The thing with Easyjet though is that to get your cancelled flights changed(for free) you have to re book to travel within 30 days of the cancelled flights, so as you have already booked your next flights, lets hope you can go on the 25th.

If you are lucky, you might get a place on a naval ship - think of all those hunky matelots!

Hi Iain

What a pity you didn't just post your post here instead of starting another new thread. I was hoping to keep ALL help info together in one thread but I will post the link to your thread here... click on Coach from Almunecar to Paris Eurostar station - depart Friday 23 April - 24 hours - €200

However, I'm just looking at BBC text news & that is saying NATS say restrictions over ALL UK could be lifted later on Tuesday after restrictions have been lifted from higher up the UK  (as per Team GB's post) from 0700 tomorrow (Tuesday).

Looks like WE may be going home Friday.

 Is that right?

Monarch laying on coaches from Alicante to ferry ports?

There is nothing on their website and has been nothing on the news.

Can anyone tell me where this information came from?
