Just wondering how everyone is getting on in their apt in P1 and if it has been completely finished, are there still a lot of apts for sale?  Have emailed Mike new sales person at JDM to get info but had no reply to date.  Susan

we are just waiting for a date now our appt is completed we believe that only half the appts are sold. We are not too concerned as we are really pleased with ours and our view. We think they are a good investment.

Does anyone know the procedure for sorting out utilities afte completion?

Would anyone be able to hold a key to our apartment (for an appropriate fee!!) to allow utilities access on a pre-arranged date if we are not around?

Thanks

Nigel

Good luck with the moving in and welcome to the community.

We are in Block 14 (completed in May) and we did arrange for water to be connected through our solicitors although this was not done until August when the full mains were connected and certificates obtained by Promaga for the development - our lawyers sorted out the formailities with Manilva water board. All apartments are serviced by water and electricity on the developers supply until you switch over.

Electricity certificates/sign off from the local council have yet to be obtained by Promaga - expected later this month so once this is done you/we can arrange to be connected - this can be organised through your lawyers as well.

For holding of keys and cleaning of apartments etc...., there is a service being offered by full time residents of the development  - Nancy Imrie - I will ask here to respond to you on the message board.

Nancy and her husband (Terry) are also co-ordinating the community requirements with the other residents and Promaga, so definitely suggest you contact them.

Good luck again and hope to see you on the development soon - it is worth the wait!!

Mike & Andrea

Dear  All
Welcome to Jardines Del Mar  Phase 1. We have been here since April and are the first permanent residents. We reside in Atico 11, my husband Terry Imrie has been informing all owners and prospective owners of what is happening in the community. The first AGM to set up the community is due to take place in the last week of November. An agenda for the meeting and other relevant information can be gained from us.Terry has been pretty successful in dealing with Promaga in sorting out problems and other related issues for owners. Should you have problems related to this development he will be happy to assist.

Update on the development

We visited the development last week and the development has been kept clean by the constant efforts of Terry and Stan, as well as carrying out gardening, weeding, grass cutting, rubble removal, blocked drains etc. etc.

It was disappointing to see that the garden sprinkler systems, pool showers etc. were not working due to there being no communal water (I believe due to it still requiring completion by the developer and the granting of a licence).
This left garden grass looking dry and patchy and garden plants rapidly dying and with some flower beds being totally dead. Again these have been tidied up by the same 2 people named above - Thanks again Stan & Terry from all of us.

However the good news is that the owner of the company behind the development was at the site last week and he assured a number of residents that the outstanding communal snags such as lack of communal water, missing pool sump pump, building snags etc. that are still on the outstanding snagging list will be all be dealt with immediately after the Easter break, so hopefully the developer will be starting on rectifying the snags this week.

Regards

Nigel

Dear All,

I am considering to buy a 3 bedroom apartment in Jardines del Mar.

Please advise if the site is in good condition to live and stay.

I have been reading your posts and seem you were having problems with the water system.

Please advise. Kind regards,

Maria

i have 3 bed i completed a month ago, so its early for me to comment

quality pretty good, i have great views towards marbella

getting snagging and other communal issues sorted seems a little hard work, promaga seem slow but terry/stan seem to be in charge of the community which seems to be working
