This is a bit worry since we first purchased in April 2004 and if you are correct that it will be at least October 2007 it will be 3 and a half years since we first put pen to paper. 

We had a phone call today from the developer within hours of sending them an email asking for an update on build progress.  They have said build is progressing well and will be early if the current pace is kept up. They also emailed us some photos taken recently which we have uploaded for others to view.

We have recently received an e-mail from one of the agents and are still being told that the completion is around the end of 2007 (possibly very early 2008). Although we still believe that it should be a good investment.

We have now downloaded pictures that we took on our recent visit to the site.  We were also advised by the Promaga Agent on duty that the expected completion date is now schedule for December 2007.

We've heard from Promaga that they are currently rendering the outside of the first couple of blocks and that completion is on schedule for December 07.  We're popping out in early February to have a look for ourselves and will let you know how we get on.

We've just got back and have uploaded some photos we took of the development.  Blocks 5-7 have been rendered outside and they hope to complete the rendering of blocks 1-4  by the end of next week.  We visited the site on two separate occasions, and on both we were told by different people that they are currently ahead of schedule.  We were also told that the majority of apartments in phase one are sold and that phase two will be released for sale in a couple of months.

Has anyone decided to sell on their off plan property before completion

Hello, we bought off plan in phase 1 of the development back in April 2005. From recent discussions with Regina we are now expecting practical completion of our apartment in October 2007 and the whole of phase 1 by the year end. As you know originally this was set for May 2007 and hearing of other stories on delayed developments, could have been worse!

We are going out in July to sign papers, apply for NIE numbers, Power of Attorney and open bank accounts etc...with Lawyers of Spain, and will take new photos then and download for all to see.

In the meantime does anyone have any recommendations for removal firms from the UK  to Spain?

 

 

 

 

Does anyone know if the apartments have gone up in value.  You could check the Moving to Spain link.

We were out there again last week.  They have made quite a bit of progress since February.  Blocks 1-7 are all rendered and have had a first coat of paint.  Most of the double glazed units have been installed, and several of the balconies have had their railings fitted.  There were also chaps working in 33 degree heat, laying tiles on the balconies.  They have dug the holes for the two swimming pools and were laying reinforced concrete in the base of the larger (adult) pool.  Quite a bit of the perimeter wall has also been built.  Talking to Regina, she said that blocks 1-7 will be ready in October, with blocks 8-14 ready in December.  The site was certainly very busy last week!!
