Swimming Pool Construction

Depressing for us buying Phase 3 to read rumours that Phase 2 may not be ready until summer 2008!!!   We originally thought we would be in now as we bought In February 2005!!  We were there in April this year and our block was tiled, but then that means nothing as some of  phase 1 was tiled when we were over Xmas 2005 and they have only just been released. 

Still there are only 60 apartments in our Phase of 3 so maybe they will get a move on now Phase 1 is released.

Look forward to seeing some posts from Phase 3 buyers.

I don't know about anyone else, but we are getting thoroughly fed up with the unreasonable delays and the total lack of communication from Atlantia, which is quite deplorable. They would do themselves a big favour if they would at least send us a monthly newsletter or something don't you think? Not a lot to ask for the £56,000 they have had of our money since June 2004! We bought on Phase 2 way back then and have had so many suggested completion dates since then I have almost lost track. Just before Christmas when we 'phoned they said mid-Jan - BIG JOKE! This is the second winter in a row we have put off other plans in case we have to organise things at 6 weeks' notice and it's beginnning to make me very angry. Does anyone else have any more information or suggestions as to how to deal with this? Sorry, just needed a bit or a 'rant'!

You have our sympathy regarding delays, Our experience on Fase 1 was around the basis they will be released when ready and not before, we did not change any plans to fit in with dates handover dates suggested by atlantia, once we were informed of availablity we liaised with both Atlantia and Galvez for a notary appointment when we were in Spain hence at our convenience, this did not meet any resistance from Atlantia, at the time it was arranged via Lyndsay in the office.

Jacjkie lso completed a purchase for us having been given power of attorney, this costs around 150 Euro but saves us a flight etc.

We agree with your point of view but the only person getting angrey will be you, Chill is the word of the day. 

We would suggest that its well worth the wait and all your grief will be forgotten once you eventually have your keys

We have been invited to complete on phase 3b early september, did more people receive invitation to complete?

During our visit 1st - 15th Sept, we walked around phase 3.

Some appartments were occupied and in use, as were the associated pool areas. There was some work contuing on walls and fencing in places. There were a number of vans outside fase 3 during the weekdays so possibly some internal work is continuing ?

The Villas were well behind the apartments in terms of progress, the external rendering has only just started.

Fase 4, up the hill behind Fase 1 & 3 is progressing with the concrete 'skeltons'  being  constructed. I understand that these are scheduled to be completed in summer 2009. It will be good to reach a stage where the diggers and concrete lorries are no longer required

Atlantia appears to be one of the few building sites in the area where work is progressing.
