When we were over at Easter there were a number of services and a procession around the village for the traditional Semana Santa celebrations - not quite up to those in Murcia or Cartagena! I also remember on our initial visit to the development which was on a Sunday seeing a lot of villagers coming out from the church - meeting and greeting around the square outside the building. I also would assume it is Catholic but talking to a young  English family who had moved in at Easter they had felt most welcome and their children had joined in the procession.

When we signed up for our property in April 2006, the notice on the door of the church seemed to be saying that Mass was held there every alternate week and in a neighbouring village the other weeks.  Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the other village.

Antonio in the Sales Office told us (April 2006) that the profile of buyers on Hacienda San Cayetano was 60% British, 20% Spanish and 20% Northern European.  He didn't expand on which nationalities were included in the Norther European category.
