Having read all the comment both positive and negative, may I say I feel really sad for the people who lost a lot of money on Sierra golf. I live on Sierra and so do a lot of other good people. The new company urmosa probably did get the properties for a song, but they appear to be investing in the golf course, tidying up the entrance, what is happening is good. That's all I wanted to say

To certain parties on here...... Did you not read what the conditions of joining this forum were? Grow up! Take your ball home, stop name calling!

Hi all its great reading this thread and Mr new worlds comments when he started by saying Sierra golfs properties must be rubbish cos there cheap basically . I lost a lot of money on Sierra golf and went out in August to look at buying again there but this time one that's legal . Sierra golf has gone through a lot and is still going and the future looks bright I met the guy who bought my property for 12000 euros along with a lot of other around 200 I think . He was working on the golf course  relying the greens and major tieding of the course . houses he bought where being finished and put on the market at reasonable prices with full paperwork .and by the sound there selling which is only good for sg . People on sg should hold there heads up high as it's been tough for everyone and now it's on the up we still want to be part of it

Hi SG residents, I would do this myself but I'm not there at the moment and apologise for asking, but ...........................

is there anyone there who can take and upload some new pics so that nojazz can have a look?  It's well worth it as SG is a great mix of properties, colours and open spaces and is in beautiful countryside, with mountains, orange and lemon groves nearby.  I'm sure they'll love it too.

Thank you if you can help out.

Just popped in to forum to see if any news.

Jane said

"Thank you inspectahomespain for your helpful information.  I have no idea why anyone chooses to attack you personally, when as well as selling properties you always provide much useful information, as you did when many of us completed in our purchases in 2008."

This is so true, when we bought  in 2006  EOS was a fab forum and the info about anything and everything was invaluable, from recommends for furniture, restauraunts and directions to just great friendly banter between us all. (I've made many close friends that I meet up with in Spain when we are over) unfortunately because of certain individuals that are argumentative and feel they have to comment and bad mouth people's choices which suit them, the old gang have disappeared. This is such a shame as the forum was a lively and fun place for us to get advice, have a laugh and learn so much about our chosen area and surrounding areas. I remember how excited we were and members too, when we were eventually flying over to pick up our keys.

I have friends in Camposol, visit regularly, and enjoy our trips there when we are over.

And also other places that seem to be coming under fire by certain people who don't even live there.

So, if there are any of the old crew members out there, how about we get the forum back to what it was? Fun and no personal attacks on other members?

Jane, I've changed my e mail address so will pm you x

OOps don't know how I got on to your community forum by mistake, just stumbled across it and thought it was on the main forum. But, glad i did as my friend is there and incidentally it was featured on place in the sun recently. Looks a lovely place, so still stand by what I said in my post. Trolls get a life and leave everyone to enjoy their homes that they are more than happy with. smiley

Apologies been in the Uk with family ober the weekend and have been reading but not posting so wow what a lot of activity, I will say again it is a shame that peole go point soring, I too fondly remember the days when people were happy to help people, not attack them, as they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing

All I can say initally is that we sold another 3 over the weekend, 2 Eagles and one Millenium, we have more visits this week, so even though there are no detached properties left, till they release the next batch we expect more sales plus the prices will increaase with and expected price for the Albatros being over €100k, which is lookimg good news for existing owners s the resort develops

ALL of our buyers will be investing in their own pools, thjey have enough space because of the plot sizes, the money that they save on community fees will cover the maintenance costs for the pools and the potebtial rental income will be better

There is a fair amount of work required to restore these properties to their original glory, anybody that visits can see this from the examples of the properties by the bar, for recent buyers of Open and Albatros properties this process is going to take 2 -- 3 months before these properties will be ready for inspection and handover, for example on the Open Plus complete new stairs are being built

Yes the prices for apartments on United went as low as €32k, yes the build quality was better on United,  but you cannot compare a small 2 bedroom apartmemt with community pool, compared to 2 bedroom detached property on a 250 mt plot for originally €79k and an 80 sq mt underbuild. Also there is a bar and the course facilties onsite, Basilcas is only 7Km away and of course the course will reopen in the new year, it is VERY UNLIKELY that the courses of UGR, Mosa Trajectum and Corvera will re-open anytime soon, really because they have gone too far and will require millions of Euro spent on them, the volume of players isn't there, especially with the declien again in passenger numbers into Murcia airport

The fact is that if the bank released the villas on UGR using the same price ratio as SGR they would sell very quickly and maybe eve they would get some facilites but like many other resorts , in the Winter it is a ghost town

One of the major differencies is that Sierra Golf ha a high percentage of residential owners already and a real community spirit already who have addressed many of the iissues, the bins for example, the community already maintains the community areas and because of the more classic design of the development, all houses in a classic street approach, there is a real sense of community already there, rather than it being a holiday resort, UGR has the same but really only in the season, sorry Sandra

If the new promoters are willing to invest in the area does it really matter what they bought the properties for or how much they are being sold at, it will benefit everybody

Things have now slowed up a little on the sales front with only Greens, Milleniums, Ryders and Eagles left and at least 3-6 months wait before they release the next batch

Great to see them working hard again today clearing up the approach roads, they have trimmed the trees, weeded and sanded the gardens

The course is developing very well and we have had a lot of rain over the past few days, but the development has faired quite well, not too much flooding

For the propertues sold it is a 2-3 month refurbishment program
