One of the most common complaints is the fluctuation of the water temperature, from cold to hot which is very common and is because the water pressure on this site is so high that the boiler cannot cope with the flow. The solution to this problem is to slightly reduce the water pressure coming into the property by adjusting the main stop cock valve

The second problem is that when they boilers have been left for a long period they seem to not work with vent error code E03 and the best way to leave these boiler is with the dial turned to the off position but leaving the power on to the boiler

The main error is E10 which is simply that the boiler has lost pressure and needs to be topped up using the black valve at the back of the boiler so that the needle pressure gauge at the green area

I have a manual and instructions for these boilers and they are covered for 2 years plus the main supplier Novacar ATC  offers an annual maintenance contract, cost € 77.82 per annum

I have also now started getting enquires through for long term rentals for people working at the airport

Roy, Does the boiler instructions you have extend to the use of the solar panel to heat the water as an initial supply. We have failed dsepite many attempts to obtain any instruction on the best way to utilise the solar panel and we are not sure if the solar panel is providing us with any of our water heating. If you have any information on ensuring we are heating our water in the most efficient way that would be most helpful.

I have it working well in a number of Magnolia villas typically providing  normal domestic hot water and you only have to understand how to setup the valves in the cupboard

If you turn off the supply to the boiler and turn on the supply form the solar you will know straight away if it works

The office can show you how to do this and check that it has been commisioned, ask for Antonio the plumber to call around

I don't know if you know but I believe the solar panels have been installed but not commissioned (ie. not working). This is the case in our Menta blocks. I am not sure if the villas are affected but I suspect that they are.

 

There's some sort of dispute with the installers, who installed but failed to commission. Dispute being who is now responsible for commissioning.

Thanks for your posting as I'm a total technophobe and am still not sure if our panel is working. Having heard your feedback of the situation on the Mentas I think I'll try and get Antonio the plumber to take another look to confirm if its working.

Hi Chris

Our Solar panels work fine (Manolia villa).  Last august when we were there, Roy showed us how to work it in isolation to the boiler and we found that there was enough hot water from the panels themselves without the need to turn on the boiler itself.

Because one of the most common problems seem to be with boilers at present I thought that it would be helpfull to summarise some of the most common problems

E10 error, which is a low pressure error and all that is required is to top the boiler up with water using the valve provided. This is often because of a leaking radiator. At the front under the cover there is a pressure guauge and the needle should be in the largest green area for the boiler to work. In the mentas and Magnolias  there is a blue valve at the front on right, in the Laurels,in Tilos and Laurels a black screw valve at the back on the right. open this valve till you hear water running into the boiler and when there is sufficent pressure the error will clear and the bolier will work again. Be carefull not to overfill the boiler 

Water not hot or temperature varies. On the front of the boilers there is a control knob which controls the tenperature of the water for the  heating and ht water so make sure that this is not turned too low. A known problem is that the water pressure on-site is too high for the boilers so the water can run warm to simply redude the water pressure to the boiler by turning down the water pressure at the stop cock

Boiler not working when windy, because of the position of some of the inlet vents on some blocks a common problem is that in windy conditions the boilers ignition will not stay on and error code E003 is shown. There isn't much that can be done but we are working on finding a solution

Solar System in Mentas not working, in a numbet of the Menta blocks there the solaris systems are not working because the pumps that distribute the water have burnt out. This is because the power to the blocks and pumps was connected before the systems were commissioned which means that the pumps were running dry, hence the damage and the developer is now debating with the installer who is responsible

The boilers are covered by a 2 year warranty however after the fusrt year you have to contact the boiler companty direct for faults and they are ver helpfull, speak English, normally call within 24 hours and their mail address is atc.novacar@gmail.com and the contact is Lola
