Hi everyone

I was supposed to sign last week when I was In Spain but the bank had still not made a desicion on my mortgage, therefore I didn't get to sign, however, the bank have emailed today and they have granted my mortgage (at last)

My solicitor in Spain said that I can grant them power of attorney. He said I would have to go to the Spanish embassey in the UK, which I'm guessing is in London. Is this true and is the proceedure easy enough??

Any advice on how it works is much appreciated

J

Power of attorney was granted to my solicitor through a Public Notary, get any information required from your solicitor and take it to a Notary and they will stamp the forms which you send back to your solicitor. Here is the Notary societies website where you can find one local to you. http://www.thenotariessociety.org.uk/find-a-notary . Of course if the embassy in London is closer use it but you will still need the forms from your solicitor.

Cheers

Thanks again
