Are any of you aware of the Notice of Administration, posted on the Ocean View Properties website? Has it finally come to an end?

sadly yes, i think it has, and all the customers money gone with the crooks no doubt.

I have been informed that Ocean View is no longer in administration as more creditors have come forward and they are now in process of appointing a liquidator.

not sure if that amounts to much?  I assume 'preffered' creditors will get first bite,(if anything to get?) like banks and others with the biggest amounts owed?  Might be wrong though?. I just think the slimeballs at the top of the organisation made off with all the money long ago, and left those lower down in the food chain to pick up the pieces?  At least the fraud squad are on to them now, so some justice may one day be served.  Will any of us ever benifit financially though?, i doubt it.

Administrator was ducking out mainly because one of creditors (Aifos) was going under. They now not going under so some hope.

Goodstitch - take a chill pill. Doesn't look to me like anyone's gone anywhere. And from what I hear everyone of them is skint. Flashy cars gone, houses about to be reposessed etc etc. Also - fraud is a bit strong isn't it. Didn't Manilva Beach get built and didn't most people complete on their properites. What happened with yours that makes you think fraud was comitted?

Just to say that I actually had a letter in February informing me that the administrator was making an application for his appointment to cease and for the company to be wound up and a liquidator appointed.

I have had no further informaion since then to say that this is no longer happening.

for heavens sake wake up and smell the coffee!  Do you really think the fraud office are prepared to spend months if not years, and a good deal of money  investigating, if they don't think there is pretty strong evidence?

As i said, not everyone in the organisation is guilty by any means, and some  i've heard,  have tried to make ammends. I can't verify that though.

You asked what happened with mine to make it fraud.

1- advised UK lawyer who's now gone bust through bad practice.

2- transfered our funds before building license was even issued

3- Lied about progress on development. Said it was knee high, when not even started.

4- Used a developer who has cheated so many they have court cases against them stretching out years and owe a fortune in bad debt.

5- Lied about rent potential (before recession)

6-Lied about build quality

7-Lied about Bank Guarantee

8- Stole 5,000 euro's of ours that they didn't transfer

9- Lied about importance of LFO

10- Lied about built time

11-Lied about compensation for first development that has never been issued a license, so wasn't even started!

12- Advised us to complete on a property half contract size with no Bank Guarantee and no LFO and nearly two years late!

13- Had no intention at any time of refunding our deposit despite all the above.

.......is that enough for you James?.............. and you say 'take a chill pill'.  I think you need a 'Get Real'  pill!

My Link Villa seems fine. Bit dissapointed developer hasn't even started the add on's but don't see how I can lay that at OV's door.

Surprised anyone took there glossy's at face value. Rental, capital growth etc had to be speculative as with any development that has not even been started when the literature is produced.

I paid for a property and i'm going to get a property. Differs somewhat from what I expected but I 'GOT REAL' from the beginning and went into this with my eyes open.

Still don't see the fraud point unless you go for the developer. After all it was him that failed to deliver.

Kernow24 - I got same letter. Think it said 'considering'. Have spoke to administrator since and he has confirmed he is reconsidering in light of Aifos news.

yes, there are things we could have done better. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. This was 2002 though, when most people thought you could trust lawyers to work on your behalf, even if like us, you didn't trust agents.  If you look at my list you will see money handed handed over when it shouldn't have been, lies about bank guarantee and other issues that amount to fraud, WHICH IS PART OF WHY THEY ARE BEING INVESTIGATED!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pleased you got what you wanted, i don't benifit from 'sour grapes', but to accuse those cheated, of  'not going in with their eyes open'  is not accepting the ugly truths. Do you really think we should have been advised by them to complete on an apartment half contract size, do you think it's ok to lie on paper about compensation and other issues on the list, do you think it's ok to steal 5000 euro's???????. Just so many lies, and many as part of a legal contract.

We, like many, were cheated out of our life savings by a triangle of agent-lawyer-developer. We have had a long battle for justice, and thanks to the work of a good lawyer and  those on this and other sites who support those cheated, we have kept positive about justice. We just want back what is rightly ours, and will try and help others in a similar situation.

There is no excuse for lies,deception and fraud. Its just wrong.

Get real,yes Manilva was built,hope yours does not end up like ours,electricity only put on in the last few months,becaue of problems,Furniture a lot missing from the package  we paid for, Why you may ask well ovp  did not pay the bills,Air-con not finished or completed  Why again may you ask --because ovp  owed so much money to the air-con guys it was;nt finished and yes we paid for this when we were asked to,

Next we paid on a completely different site,(don't tell me all the developers in costa del sol are crooks!) €181,0000 in 2003 again used BRITISH SOLICITOR given to us by yes ovp---- now dissappeared.

Wheres are money? Our very reputable lawyer has found out it did not even get sent over to Spain in the first  place!

Our Developer never even seen our money.

What about our Bank Gaurantee?which was eventually given too us last year,after repeated complaining.

Wel i'll tell you it was read by our solicitor and we were told it is not even worth the paper it was written on!

So James Ashley  we have a right to feel very bitter.ovp are nothing more than thieves,so much so our Member of Parliament is also looking into this for us.

I hope you do get your place,The place we thought was ours  was'nt  so good luck,you'll need it beieve  me.

all who have issues,with ocean veiw need to contact stafford fraud squad, you will need to get a crime number for your interview afew of us have had a meeting , to discuss issuses and a plan is a must, i will post the nexted meetin date and wereabouts.you are not on your own

Sales Agent no longer exists.

What exactly is achieved???

This is mainly to to with the suspected fraud with the Estepona Beach and Country Club development which was marketed by OVP and the millions of pounds in missing money

..... and there are still many having problems - its a much bigger picture and the more that mention the problems with ovp the better

JamesAshely, who the god damn hell are you, do you not get it, we are all quite aware that we are highly unlikely to get any money back but justice must be done and that's all the IFA's that gave advise and the directors of OVP behind bars!!!!!!!!!!!!
