Hello everybody,

We have followed Eye on Spain for some time now as we bought in Roda a few years ago. (First Post)

We are just back from Roda after getting our 2 bed apartment which we were a little worried about having read  this forum for a while.

The Good news is that apart from a few very minor snagging issues we are delighted  with our new holiday home.

When we were there we talked to another couple in the clubhouse who had also just completed recently and they said it worked out really well for them also.

Having played the course for the first time again in over a year it just reaffirmed to us that we have made the right decision.

The course was  busy during the period we were there and anybody we talked to said they really enjoyed it.

We called into the old clubhouse to discuss the golf rights which they were advertising and have been told that the price is going up again in the new year by 4% or so.

Had  a discussion with the man in the office about the pros and cons. As we both play golf and a lot of our friends do I think we are going to go ahead and become members as in the future it looks like it will be better to have them.

Also saw the new vidieo about the resort which is fantastic.

I know this is a very positive first post but we really are happy and feel it was worth the wait.

We were also told that they intend to start the commercial area by the end of the year which will have a supermarket , restaurant  and bar etc.

There is a bike shop in the square just further down from the 525 Hotel which you can ride home from or there is a large outdoor pursuit store in San Javier which would take approx 20 mins to ride back from

Good to hear some Phase 3 owners are delighted with their investment. After all the problems that Phase 4 buyers are suffering due to lack of progress, Phase 1 owners up in arms at those dreadful water features and Phase 2 owners who have leaking roof terraces or storerooms it is good to know that maybe Roda are getting their act together.

Interesting comment about the Golf Rights going up in January, I Presume that is the offer price not the bid. Considering the world's current financial predicament and the fact that stock markets and house prices are tumbling whilst unemployment rises in all major economies, it is heartening to know that some prices go up .

I think I may be able to put you in touch with a few Rights Holders who may be prepared to sell at cost if interested.
