TV, Telephone & Internet

We called in the Customer Service portacabin just before we left for home on Monday.  They are still saying November for the Telephone and Internet, but that the TV might not be ready in November.  
By 'TV' they mean the English channels whereby you would bring your own satellite box from the UK or buy one from Polaris or elsewhere. The Spanish analogue & digital channels are already available - we've had enough of Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel to last a lifetime !

I agree with the Hannah Montana & Disney channels my teenagers watched nothing else for the last 9 days done my head in.
We also went into the potacabin on monday to ask about this, told it would be another month, and the cost for the installation 400 euros and this would give you all the channels and nothing else to pay, has anyone else been told this as I find it hard to beleive you would not have to pay any monthly charges for these.

                      It is a one off fee as all you are paying for is the box and installation and you then receive the freeview channels that you would in the uk

Thanks for this do you know if this includes sports channels as Arthur is a big sports man and loves his football. If not do you know if you have to subscribe to these and if so what is the cost.

No sky sports you would have to pay for these  but Spanish digital Tv show the english games live anyway.

Whilst I am a fan of the slingbox I'm not sure it's a good solution for CdA:-
1. you need a fixed broadband with a reasonably fast connection.
    Using a mobile solution would cost too much if you watched TV move than one program each day
    A fixed connection would cost >30E a month, be careful with the download limit.
    At that price your better off either paying the 400 for the PW box or getting a second sky box with freeview
    In fact, once the sky feed is available it would be cheaper to get multiroom in the UK then taking the secound box to Spain.

2. If Your not renting.   
    The sling box controls your home Sky box, so no good for rentals
    If your renting do you really want to pay for internet?  Ok if the cost was low i'd think about it, but only if it was low and there was no monthly limit.
