That's the one!  To be fair they were fantastic on the viewing/inspection trip but have been absolutely appalling ever since - I had heard that they had got rid of about 70% of their staff, looks like the remaining staff will be going as well now.

Someone has recently posted that they were to receive 3000 euros cashback on completion - presumably this may have an effect on any such payments being made to clients now.

Wonder what will happen to those that have not yet completed but have paid the Owners Club fee?

Debbie

Hi Debbie,
I would be very interested to see if we can get our money back for the Owners club fee. They had also offered to do our snagging too!!!

Regards
Mandy

Hi All

If you paid membership with a Credit Card would it be covered under the section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974? Maybe Debbie (payton) will know?

This making the Credit Card company equally responsible for failing to provide the services paid for as part of the membership. That’s assuming the owners club is affected?

Not sure it will help with the cashback issue ?

Phil
PS:

Out of interest just found this on the Internet:-

Hi all,  when we purchased through Parador i told the Manager that i would like some free furniture so she said if i purchased the aftercare package i would get a free furniture pack worth a few thousand euros.  So we bought it and i agree with everyone else they have not done a thing, i have been getting all photo's from Polaris World Art. They have not sent us any at all no-one phones either.
Still yet to see if we get the furniture or whats even in the pack. Could be just a chair but i have it in writing.
So the next time you purchase try the bartering trick for a furniture pack.

Hi all
Just phoned Parador Spain. Was told all purchases(property, Owners Club, Furniture, etc) are contracts with them...nothing to do with Parador UK. As the statement said,... "It does not affect the Parador Properties offices overseas, which are open for business as usual. It does not affect property purchases by any of its clients, as all contracts were made between the individual client and the overseas builders or vendors; Parador Properties acted only as an introductory agent."
If you want to see the original press release go to www.opp.org.uk , register for free putting in any details you want then read the statement

Hi All

Thanks Don & Kerry, this look a bit moor positive. I have posted the full statement below from the opp web site save you registering.

OPP can reveal exclusively that the large overseas property agency Parador Properties has gone into voluntary administration as of this morning.

Since OPP broke the story, a new statement has been sent to us by Parador's PR agency Quay West Communications. It reads: "It is with regret that Parador Properties has announced that, due to the downturn in the overseas property market in the UK, its office in the UK has gone into voluntary administration while it restructures the sales and marketing process.

"It does not affect the Parador Properties offices overseas, which are open for business as usual. It does not affect property purchases by any of its clients, as all contracts were made between the individual client and the overseas builders or vendors; Parador Properties acted only as an introductory agent."

OPP has contacted the offices of Parador and will provide an update to this story as and when it happens.

i was speaking to a polaris world agent about a month ago and he was very worried about his job as Parador(im nearly certain) had bought a major share of polaris world and they were sacking anyone and everyone just to make their presence known.

ill check it out

ace.

This thread has just brought something back to me that was mentioned a while back.  A work colleague mentioned an article advertising Polaris in the Express newspaper.  She said the person who they interviewed on behalf of Polaris was one of the top men at Parador.  Never thought anything of it at the time, just presumed he'd had a change of jobs.

I think what you will find is that a lot of the people at the top of Polaris World presently are ex Parador Properties.
