The Climate in Tenerife

Due to it's location in the Southern hemisphere, Tenerife enjoys a wonderful sunny and warm climate throught the whole year. It has been a very popular destination for winter sun holidays as you can pretty much guarantee going on with a tan after being in Tenerife even in January and February. In the last couple of months of the year it is normal to have a slightly above average level of rainfall compared to the rest of Spain, although it is in essence quite far from Spain and nearer to Africa instead. All in all, for those seeking year-round sun and heat Tenerife should certainly be near the top of the list for places to visit.

We went in January last year for a week and it was just fabulous weather for the whole week. Hard to imagine really when it was freezing and miserable back home!
