Description

Available for Long Term lets over winter only (end of October to May) this rustic 'finca' style villa with a large private, infinity edged pool, in a rural and tranquil location in the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park but within easy driving distance of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Set in its own grounds of nearly 2 acres with numerous olive, almond, fig and citrus trees, the property has 3 double bedrooms and a self contained double bedroom cottage overlooking the large pool. The property enjoys west facing rural lake views with covered and open terraces and a large barbecue terrace. Peaceful and tranquil, the finca is ideal for a relaxing break close to some of the best amenities on the Costa del Sol including numerous golf courses, which are within easy reach. The unspoilt white village of Istan is a short drive away where there are stores for provisions, and restaurants serving Spanish fare using local produce. The reservoir is great for fishing and kayaking and there is a kayak for use. There are many stunning walks in the surrounding countryside.
The rural position of the finca offers easy access to a range of diverse amenities and facilities. It is on the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park (declared a UNESCO Biosphere) and offers easy and challenging walks as well as horse riding and guided jeep and quad bike tours. The countryside offers an incredible range of flowers, fauna and wildlife including the Ibex and wild boars. Yet only 9kms away is the throbbing port of Puerto Banus offering international shopping alongside bustling ethnic markets and an outstanding range of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The cosmopolitan town of Marbella is only 10kms away offering some of the best shopping in Southern Spain. The cobbled streets and alleyways around it's world famous Plaza de Naranjos (Orange Square) offer ethnic goods alongside haut couture.
The Square itself has a range of excellent restaurants with many more nearby. It is said that if you dined out every lunchtime and evening for a year you would still not visit all of the restaurants in Marbella. The port of Puerto Banus has an excellent range of eateries offering international and local cuisine.

The unspoilt Pueblo Blanco (white village) of Istan (dating back to the 16 century) is 7km away. There is a natural spring which supplies the reservoir. There is a small weekly market on Saturdays. The large and cosmopolitan town of Marbella is 9km away and the world famous and vibrant Puerto Banus is 8km distant. The port of Tarifa offering high-speed ferry trips across the Straits of Gibraltar to Tangiers is about 70km. The port of Malaga is 55km away offering ferries to the Balearic's.

Outside
The private pool is approximately 12 x 5 metres and features an infinity edge with stunning westerly views to the unspoilt rural National Park and the Sierriana de Ronda, over the lake below.

Coast/Beach
The coast is only 10kms away and offers a range of family friendly beaches, luxury beaches (Nikki Beach), disco beaches (Puerto Banus), and even a naturist beach at Cabopino. All offer beach bars or restaurants. A range of water sports are also available from the beaches as well as the large number of marinas and ports in the area including Puerto Banus, Marbella, Cabapino, and Estepona.

Golf
The property is in the heart of the Costa del Sol and is within easy driving distance of a range of excellent golf courses including Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, La Dame de Noche (floodlit), Marbella Golf and Country Club, Los Flamingos, Finca Cortesin, Aloha Golf, Monte Mayor, Guadalmina, Atatlaya Park and El Paraiso to name but a few.
The world renowned Valderama and the fabulous new La Reserva are about 55kms away at Sotogrande. The old and new courses of San Roque are 60kms away.

Skiing
The house is about 2 hours drive from Granada and the Sierra Nevada skiing area. It is one of the few places in the world where you can ski in the morning and be water skiing from the beach in the afternoon!

Travel
The area is served by two airports. The nearest is Malaga approximately 50kms (45 mins drive) away, the other being Gibraltar at approx 60kms (1 hours drive). A car is essential.
