There is a swimming pool next to the Casita for guest's use and all parking is on the property and off-road. The Barn occupies part of a 50m building, part of which is used for agricultural equipment storage and workshop. All equipment required for harvesting and land maintenance will form part of the sale. Membership of the Olive Co-operativa will be transferred into the new owner's name as will the EU subsidy which is granted for the care of the olives.

The property benefits from a Cedula de Habitacion and a Tourist Licence issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya. There is an established holiday rental business here which commenced in 2011 and has grown annually since then. In addition to the tourist rental income there is also the income from the olive and almond crops and also from the sale of organic olive oil which is exported across Europe.

The property is entirely off-grid and the electricity supply is generated from solar panels into a substantial battery power station with a 3 kw Inverter supplying full domestic current to the 3 houses. Gas is supplied from 2 x 1000 ltr tanks which are recharged by tanker when required. The owner's house benefits from gas-fired central heating and has additional heating from a log burner in winter. The Barn is heated by gas-fired underfloor heating and the Casita has a log burner. Each property has their own septic tank which waters the ground so no water is wasted. There is a deep borehole which provides fresh water, when required, into a large underground cisterna and this feeds all 3 houses. The game called Petanque (or Boules) is very popular here and you will find your own Petanque court within the grounds.

The property sits on the edge of the Ebro Delta, an area of outstanding natural beauty and one of 9 National Parks in Catalunya. There is tourist activity throughout the year from wildlife watching, birding festivals, cycling, walking and many gastronomic festivals. Rice is grown here and accounts for a major part of the economy. An hour to the north you will find the city of Tarragona with its incredible Roman history and towards Barcelona there are vineyards of world renown, Rioja for example, and they host tours and tastings.

The houses will be sold fully furnished (except for some of the owner's personal possessions) and so enable the holiday rental business to continue without any interruption.
