You don't get a reminder, you have to calculate it and submit the form yourself.  You pay a year in arrears so 2009 tax has to be paid by end Dec this year.  You can take the form to the bank to pay.  If you're late they can fine you but it's not automatic.

You have to pay income tax as a non-resident even if you do not let out your property.  however I bet most of this charge is your solicitor's fees rather than the tax.  we used spanishtaxforms ltd to do our forms for £19.95. saved us a fortune.

I looked around for the best deal and used a company in in the Uk who do this for £19.95 per property, spanish tax forms ltd

In summary, no wealth tax is payable for 2008 onwards but imputed income tax is still payable even if you do not let your property.  This tax is based on the cadastral (rateable) value.  You need to complete form 210 and pay the tax.  I have researched extensively and the first company on the list below spanishtaxforms ltd appear to offer the cheapest service - they do it for you for £19.95 per property which seems a good deal, especially as others seem to charge per person and a lot of us are joint owners. Does anybody know of a better or cheaper option? Has anybody used them?
