Anybody go there at easter?  How was the resort progressing re Beach Club opening, landscaping, restaurant etc?

Have not heard a thing about this.  If we are permitted to attend then someone should attend on our behalf. Quite a few of the UK owners are out there at the moment but they may not have heard of this either.

My parents have just returned from a month at my apartment.  They seemed to have a good time although the resort was very quiet.

The odd contractor was around - dealing with snagging issues etc.  Hardly any other people staying at the resort though. Winters are quiet I guess.

The day they left (20th March) the pool was being filled but was not expected to open until they had recruited a lifeguard.  April 1 was the target date I believe. The general feeling was that the water is too cold for a pool to be of any use during the winter months - hence it was emptied for the winter.

Let's hope the beach club is up and running for April.  Doubt if the gym will be though.

I and many others had lots that needed doing.  Very important that you visit your property pre completion to do the snagging or appoint someone to do it for you. I know many have used a chap called Dean Swann to do their snagging and generally look after their property. He is an ex policeman who now runs a property business in Mojacar area (cleaning, airport runs etc).

They were fine in correcting the defects.

Shame about the landscaping - tough market for developers I guess.

I have just received notice of an EGM on 20 March 2009 from the company appointed to look after the management of the resort (security, gardening etc). The agenda reads.....

 

1. Reading and approval, if proceed, of the minutes for the

previous Meeting.

2. Study and approval, if proceed, of the economic balance

sheet for August 2008 to February 2009.

3. Outstanding fees to be paid to the community. Actions to be

taken.

4. Establishment of the period of which is going to be

referred the financial year, and the date for the AGM of the

community.

5. Study and approval of the forthcoming year’s budget

2009/2010.

6. Election of officers.

7. Report referred to bring into service of the Supracomunidad

of Owners of the Complex.

8. Any other business.

In case that you are unable to attend the meeting, you can

nominate to anyone to represent yourself signing

Just wondered if any owners were going to be present - important that we have some representation or we may be bound by matters agreed in our absence. I cannot attend but was thinking I might ask my property manager (Dean Swann) to attend on my behalf.

Any views?
