I would also forget it because we were in the same position paid the deposit in 2006 + first payment, we could see that things didnt look good so I refused to pay any more, when I contacted our lawyer he told me that I was in breach of contract by not keeping to the payment dedlines as well as the builder not keeping to his agreement and it would be likely we would not get any money back. We signed an agreement with them to say they could not pursue us for money and vice versa. We have now bought a fantastic 2 bed penthouse apartment in Villamartin and saved more on the purchase price than what we lost and are very happy so cut youe loses and get a bargain on a re-sale !

When we purchased in August 05 (phase 7 ) we were told completion would be Dec 07, we have now been told March 09 ( still dont believe this) I am now totally brassed off with all the false promises of completion dates and bank guarantees and wish we had not purchased off plan and had bought a re-sale which we could now be enjoying. At the first opportunity we will sell it as we have no wish to stay there any more

What really gets me in all of this if CDP had finished on the date I was originally given every thing would have been OK, but now we have been given a March 09 finish date (phase 7) and by the current situation with the € we will approx be 20K out of pocket and CDP attitude to this in my opinion was not good, I also believe the current situation with the € will not improve

Hi all
We have just returned from San Juan and been informed that our phase (7) will be completed in March 2009, a little dissapointed as the currency is going against us at the moment . Whilst there we made enquiries about a vacant end property in phase 7 and it now includes the white goods in the price.
