Hello,

I have a property in el Vergel which was completed in 2007  and there is still no habitation licence.

I'd like to sell but without it I can't get an agent to take it on.

I'm struggling to find the money to pay for the mortgage and would love to walk away.

Does anyone know if there have been recent changes to the law or the handling of banks to this issue.

Does the process remain the same?

I have had conflicting messages from the solicitor handling the purchase and from the property investment company on the progress of the development.

The Investment company said the completion would be May but the solicitor informed me it would be ready as expected end december 2006/ January.

The photos of progress I have received would suggest to me that the second is the most likely.

I had initially planned to sell on completion but I am wondering about rental now - Can anyone give me any ideas about maybe doing a long term 6 months, 12 months rental? What are the leasing regulations in Spain?
