As far as I understand, the purpose of a bank guarantee is to safeguard peoples deposits should a developer go bust before the development is completed - as Santa Maria is now complete and the developer has not gone bust, then the need for the guarantee is redundant .  I don't know why anyone should want to see it!

I believe we were the first to complete on the development - in block 12 we completed on 20th April.  We had a valuation from the CAM bank of 382K euro for our garden apartment and have secured a mortgage for 270K which allowed us to buy all the furniture and pay all the fees! - anyone interested should be able to get a 2 year interest only mortgage from the CAM through Patrick Robinson.  Global are the new maintenance company and I was told by them (on 7/11/06) that we will all be getting a letter soon informing us of the community set-up and the ongoing fees (they will be around 1700 euro per annum for a 2 bed appt. payable in three semesters over the year.  Rentals are going well - we have had a total of 16 weeks paying guests since 3rd June
