Hello Tasha, and welcome to Condado and La Isla.  My name is Irene and we own on La Isla too block 10.  We are pleased to see that people are buying on Condado and we believe Condado has a great future as we watch it grow, slowly maybe, but it will grow and mature. Sadly we don't know any plumbing businesses, so we cannot help you there but we wish you well on your new adventure. We are over here at the moment and the weather today is sun and blue skies, with a cool breeze, not bad for a winter's day in January.

Can I access the internet in my apartment through my own modem I'm bringing from the UK, or is my only option to purchase the modem from A2Z for 77 euros. Or are there any other options.

Hello Irinal

There is a health food store in the town of Alhama near to the church of St Lazaros, the street is pedestrianised and is the one that leads upto the museum of the thermal baths.  The shop door is on a corner on the left hand side as you go up the street.

Every Tuesday in the town of Alhama there is a fantastic market selling fresh vegetables, fish, meat, everything.  There is also an indoor market in Alhama with fresh food stalls.

There is a Mercadona supermarket in Alhama and Puerto Mazarron.   Personally if I was living full time on CDA I would use the Tuesday market for my fresh food.  Not sure how organic it is BUT the produce I have purchased from the market has been fresh and tasty!

Hi Phil

We have just returned from completing on La Isla.  We own on Block 10 and we heard whilst we were out there from other owners on block 10 that they had experienced problems with the pre installation for air conditioning.  Steve from Apollo Air was installing our air con and he agreed to check the pre installation for us before he fitted the units just in case there was a problem.  The pre inst. in the lounge was ok, the pre inst in the 2 bedrooms were not and we had to get Polaris back to fix it.  We reported the problem to customer services and we paid Polaris 50 Euros which we received back as the inital problem was with Polaris.  I would imagine that all the apratments on Block 10 will have the same problem as it was the same builder who fitted the whole block.  Apparantly there are several  contractors who do  the installation.   We were unlucky, but managed to get it sorted without too much trouble. The only problem we had was finding the office to pay the 50 euros so that Polaris would come out the following day, but we got there.  I guess it would make sense to have the pre inst work checked out now, may be Steve can look for you whilst he is over on the CDA.  We found him VERY helpful.

I have just returned from completing on the Isla.  At the Noterary office when the deeds were being read to me it stated that there will be 3 swimming pools on La Isla but only two have been completed.  How did you hear that there will only be 2 pools
