Hi All,

Just been to GoM on Sunday 22nd November 2009 and uploaded a few photos for your information, it would not let me upload all six so not sure why....??

As you can see the photos have not changed from those posted by Lavaclip on 1st August 2009.

I can also confirm that NO ONE has moved in to the apartments and villas, and the whole site looks like a ghost town. I cannot say if any of the Villa's have been completed but there are no signs of people moving in. With repsect to the apartments all the blocks apart from the very top one, I think is block 3, have all got major structural issues due to subsidence. Because we could not get close due to the perimeter fence up none of the apartments appeared anywhere near finish, who has been doing the snagging Hola Life, I don't think so. So the FOL has not been granted on the apartments.

There is no site security and no sigins of OVP (no suprise) or Manliva Costa (Developer) but only Gomyu, the builder. 

The swimming pools of the bottom villa's are full of pond life (no not OVP) and the commercial centre is just waste land. I have taken nearly 83MB of photos and might upload over the next few days.....

Has anyone used Brethertons, as they have 60 Clients, any feed back Guys???

One question that I cannot get an answer on is who owns these properties has we have put 30% deposit down and legally even though we have not completed no contracts have been terminated yet?

Just moving the subject away from OVP, there is also another party (that's one word for them) that have taken my money namely Hola Life which has been annoying me so much I feel the need for a posting/beer!

Yes we took out the Gold package on our dream 2 bedroom apartment for £ 595.00 so that when we moved in everything would be snagged and completed to a very high standard with water and electricity services connected and sorted. 

I have been trying to get hold of Daryl Davie for the last six months plus, to find out what he has done for my Gold package service that I took out with him, such as reports and photos of the apartment, but I have had nothing from him not even a reply to my emails although I do get the read receipts....

Yes I know that this really is a drop in the ocean (pardon the pun) in money matters compared to the substantial depoist that we are (or going) to lose but the question I have is that am I alone or does anyone else have this experience with Hola Life have they actually done any real work for any of us or just taken the money?

the license was approved last Monday for the villas and not the blocks but has not yet been issued, due this Monday, Also Developer unable to return any deposits...they have no money!!

You are right in what you say regarding the monies and Developers view. The problem is that when Conveyancing Spain started no one got a signed contract back from the Developer via OVP, due to the scam that OVP were trying to pull on us all. The other seems to be getting Vera Mates to acknowkedge that the Developer has your money for your apartment, as OVP just paid millions at a time to the Developer with no reference to buyers or property, at first she did acknowledge but now got wise. Also the Developer only has a max of 50% of the deposit as OVP held onto the other, which is where a UK solicitor would be needed to seek the remainder monies.

if you complete and cannot pay the mortgage then the banks will come for thier money and then your UK assets (your house) could be at risk.

If we had of completed in Sept 07 then it would have been very different...the Developer has offered a reduced price, in our case 7,000euros but I think it is missing at least a 0, to make it 70,000 euros reduction would seem fairer.

The options are to get your Solicitor to send a Burofax to the Developer and terminate the contract or just complete.
