I, likewise and my friend, also bought on Hipodromo, so we are in the same situation as yourselves. we are prepared to travel out on the dates mentioned, providing there are enough of us to make it worthwhile, if that will make it worthwhile?

 

I will speak with my Spanish Lawyer to see if he has any other Hipodromo Clients that would be willing to attend,

Hello all, Just posted some new pictures of most of the blocks, managed to spend about 40 mins on site on my own on a Sunday Evening. took loads of pics and a couple of small AVI Clips which I will try to post on youtube.com. I hope some of you will be able to determine what blocks are where, I managed to get into what I thought was my Flat but later found out I was in the one underneath!! anyhow, they are VERY SMALL APARTMENTS, I myself am not really bothered about the size, just worried about if we will ever get to use them, mry Estate agent friend told me that the reason the other blocks have not been built yet is that they need access to the other blocks and certain blocks like Espuela etc would be in the way (Makes Sense) once the farthest blocks have been finished they will then continue with the others??

Hello to you all.
I have been  viewing this Forum for quite some time now and I would like to add that I think it is a very important source of information for many people caught up in the Spanish Property high's & low's and has been a great help to myself, sometimes a little disturbing to read the truth, but nevertheless, helpful.

I  purchased a 3 Bed 2 Bath in Bloque Derby in April 03 and was told by the Agent (who happens to be a Friend)  when making my 1st payment,  Good Luck but please don't worry, this is an excellent investment, I promise you!  those were his words. Now I am sure that when he wrote those words in an email that he sent to me, he genuinely thought that, but as we all know, things change and unforseen problems occur (Albeit very large problems concerning Hipodromo) so about a month or so ago, I emailed him, asking  for his honest opinion on  what he thinks will be the outcome of what seems to be an ill fated Hipodromo Development, considering he told me that a lot of his clients that bought on Hipodromo from him, want to offload, needless to say,  I am still waiting for his reply, so I was wondering if there is anyone who could answer my question Honestly, that is, if it can be answered at all?

1) Will these Apartments ever be handed over to their rightful owners, and if not, will we lose our Deposit money???

I now know that buying off plan in Spain can have its Problems, not with all Developers, but with quite a few to say the least and if I ever considered buying in Spain again, I would not take the Agents word  as a Guarantee, I will not fall out with my Friend who is the Agent, we go back too far, we all make mistakes, as i may have done in buying without thinking, but I am a little dissapointed to find that he could not give me his honest opinion, whatever it maybe!!!

I hope that there will be a reasonable outcome for all concerned, with all the heartache and worry caused by this stressful situation,
