Does anyone know of any good deals on euro mortages as I`m struggling to find anything better than 5% at present.

We are after an interest only mortgage / followed by capital repayment deal given the percieved lack of rental opportunities that will be available at Cota Real for the next 2 years or so.

Has anyone been out there lately ? how`s it looking ?

We are currently being pushed by our Spanish Lawyers to complete on our 2 bed apartment in Cota Real - Khios Block but have asked for a more specific time frame to set up the mortgage etc

however there seems to be several people out there fighting against actually taking the apartment, ...... as we don`t want to be the only people in the block !!!

is there anyone currently moving towards completition ?

if so what time frame are you being asked to work to by your Lawyer - Ros Y Falcon ?

Just got a call from our lawyer in Spain, the habitation licence has been granted and we are expected to complete the purchase within the next 2 months.

I argued that the development was only half finished but it seems with this licence now in place they can push completion through !

Has anybody heard anything different ?

Buy through a reputable company we were told, and after months of research decided to go with Ros Y Falcon !!!!!!!!

Reading through the various postings there appears a continuous conflict of information. Does anyone have a definative answers to any of the following questions :

- what is the progress of the habitation license applied for on the 2 blocks

- what is the site looking like ? as the last posting I have seen is June 7th, close on 3 1/2 months ago

- is there a claim for compensation ? and if so what are the likely costs involved

- when will blocks 3, 4, 5 & 6 likely to be completed ?

Any information would be much appreciated as we have`nt been able to get over there for the last 10 months and the level of information through the Spanish Lawyers is pitifull
