Hi, recently sold a property. 3% of the sale value was sent to tax office. Solicitor says I can apply to have it refunded. It all sounds too easy. There must be a catch! What could go wrong? Anyone applied for the 3% refund?

Hi,

I have a mortgage with Banco Popular. When I took out the mortgage I was not told about the 'collar'. We currently pay 4%. We only found out about it when we enquired why our interest rate was not dropping - that was when were told we had a minimum interest rate on our mortgage.

Has anyone heard if Banco Popular are planning to follow the Court ruling and cancel the collar?
