Hi Val,

when you say you have started to proceed with the cancellation does this mean you have to go the legal routes through the courts or will you just get what you paid back less any administration fees.

  We are really at a crossroads here and dont know what to do. Looking more like we will pull out of contract also if not much cost involved.

I've just been informed by my lawyer that Arenal are still waiting for the licence of first occupation. The technical inspection still has not been made due to the fact that the road has not been completed. Arenal have no idea when this will be done. Therefore the promoter offers to cancel the contract and refund amonts paid up to date.

We have heard nothing about above, e-mailed my solicitor Elena on Monday and she has not even opened my email.. have you got the same solicitors ...Do you think they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes, if these are the problems before we complete what are we facing say 6 mths down the road if another pipe bursts who carries the cost of the repairs then....

I got a letter yesterday  from Arenal Sur 21 telling me that CajaSur with the collaboration of Gerens are now looking after the project.. As you may have guessed the letter is dated 2 months ago 7/May/07... There it is again vall the number 2..Just glad we never bought 2 apartments at the start when everything looked rosey...

.Does anybody know what the outcome of the meeting with the developers in mid june was??  Now that 30th June has passed can we get our money back without further costs..or does the €2000 - €3000 cost to lodge request to cancell with the courts still stand.

Just wondering if the €260K valuation is correct why  the developers are not prepared to give back the deposits without legal proceedings if they can resell them at a large profit..????
