We too like many others are still waiting for the building to be started on Las Islas in Terrazas de la Torre. We have been told this will not happen in the near future if at all and to be honest are completely stressed out and fed up with all the lies we have been told by Polaris World.

Polaris World never respond to any form of communication so we have instructed our Spanish lawyer to go to court to get the bank guarantee so that we can get our money back.

Has anyone been successful in getting the bank guarantee and the money back and if so how long did it take.

Surely Polaris World must be made to take some responsibility for all this as they are giving Spain a bad reputation. 

Any advice or comments welcome.

We were offered to change apartments recently as PW did not have a start date for the smaller island that we had paid a deposit for. They only offered Condado which we did not want as several of our friends have apartments in La Torre and Terrazas so said we would just have to wait !!!

We are concerned as we have heard they are in financial difficulties and we are still waiting on our bank guarantees which are apparently law in Spain. I am not convinced we will ever get these either.

We are very disheartened as we have been over several times at our own expense to speak to lawyers as we cannot get any information out of PW at all. I am thinking of going to the press with this as I feel it is disgraceful how PW are treating customers and wondered if anyone else would speak out too.

We have just returned from Terrazas and found that nothing much is happening. The only thing they are working on is the golf course.

Meeting with Polaris World was concerning as they were not in the least bothered by our concerns although could not give a start date for any future phases. They blatantly told us lies until they realised we were staying in a friends apartment in Phase 1. We were offered to change to Condado but nothing else.

We met with a lawyer out there, NCS lawyers in Santiago de la Ribera and they were most helpful. By law in Spain Polaris World need to provide the bank guarantee and our lawyer suggested this was the way forward as we were more likely to get our 40% deposit back from the bank than PW.  Can recommend them as they were very honest with us and got onto it immediately.

We should know more this week and just hope we can get this money back. Has anyone else been successful in getting money back this way or any way at all ?
