Can anyone please tell me how I get free healthcare in Spain. I am a UK national, 54 years old. I have lived in Spain for just under 6 months, although I have owned a house here for the last 10 years. I am a "non-resident" at the  moment. I do not work. What happens when my EHIC runs out? I have a 1999 'T' Ford Mondeo with only 68,000 miles on the clock. it's in really good condition, with a recent service and full spanish MOT (ITV). It's a five door hatchback, automatic with central locking.
