Just to let you know that we completed on 27th May - there were 2 other couples in Sucina when we were there and they completed the day before us. They turned out to be our neighbours in the complex so that was nice! I believe there will be quite a few completions during June.
Up to now all is ok - we left a snagging list with Paco (builder) and are assured all will be done when we return to furnish later this month or in early July.
We found Louise and Paco at Golf Invest to be very helpful (I suppose they have to be at this stage!)
Just to bring everything up to date - There are 132 apartments finished - there are only a "handfull" unsold (4 or 5 we were told). The pool will be complete by 24th June. First appearance is that the complex is still a building site - BUT, this is really only the last phase which is not due for completion until December. We were only in Sucina for a week but a lot seemed to be done during that time.
Golf Invest assure us though that, unlike other developments, the commercial part will all be rendered, windows in and ready for occupancy as soon as they can. The unfinished last phase will also be rendered but will not have kitchens etc in until they know they are sold. So the overall appearance will be "complete". There will be a presence on site until at least the end of the year and probaly well into next year. The builder is taking over one of the commercial units.
Other confirmed commercial users are a restaurant, a coffee bar, supermarket, haidressers and beauty place, plumbers (!) and a furniture store. The furniture guys are based in the village at the moment (Mugals) and we found them to be incredibly helpful. We spent virtually a day and a half with them - they went into our apartment and measured up and advised what we could have. This was necessary as, although each apartment is supposed to be the same size, they are not. Some have pillars in the corners of bedrooms which limit what you can have in there. Be careful with this!
One other thing to be aware of - there is no shower screen in the shower room (the ensuite has a bath so you can put a shower curtain over this). We were given a contact in the town who is fitting one for us - if anyone wants his contact details just message me.
To sum up, we are happy with what we have seen, only time will tell if all promises are fulfilled. Hope this is helpful to those of you completeing soon.
