Hi Everybody

Sorry to hear that there are still ongoing problems.

I was informed by my solicitor about two weeks ago that we have obtained an out of court agreement with the bank.  We will receive all the money that we have laid out but no costs or interest.

If this is right ( and I won't be celebrating until the money is in our account),we have still come out with about £6,000 more because of the exchange rate on the Euro and that's after paying our legal fees.

I should know more this week as my solicitor has informed me that the money is already in the Barristers account and just needs to clear before he transfers it to our account.

Keep trying, it will hopefully, work out okay for all of us in the end.

Colette

Hi

I have located a spanish property lawyer working in a Leeds based law firm.

He has clients that are involved in the large Spanish property developers Martinsa-Fadesa insolvency case.  (very similar to our own case) and is working with a group of them to bring a class action.

The fees "seem" easier to understand.  There is a set fee of £950 plus VAT.  The spanish barrister gets 3% of any returned money.  There are other fees but he sounds very hopeful especially if we have bank guarantees.

If anybody wants his details please contact me.

I have also purchased an apartment on the 2nd phase of Nueva Ribera Beach club. I have been in discussions with Karin Mattison as well as Romy (who is now on maternity leave). They are both lovely ladies but you know that they are telling you what they think you want to hear. The price that we have paid for these apartments would be fine if the whole development was ever to get finished, but even if they did let us have our apartments (which I've been trying to sell for over three years now) they can't even be worth half of what we've paid as they stand. I don't see this site ever being finished.  Who else would want to invest money in this awful mess. Surely, there must be some law that can help us get our money back.  What about these Bank Guarantees that were such a big part of the selling package.  Can we all work together with a solicitor (preferably one in England) so that the expenses are smaller.
