We are just about to purchase a colorado duplex at the SBV resort.  Having read mixed reports we are slightly worried as to what is what.  This is a resale property from a family who have owned it since 2005.  We have been offered an one year contract at 8% gross what does this net to?  Can anyone give any advice as to what to do or what to ask when over there we are meeting an estate agent from Horizon Estate Agents in September.  Does anyone also have any advice on mortgages and rates is it best getting your mortgage in Lanzarote or the UK????

Lastly what is the situation with the cockroaches are they as bad as some of the reviews or just your average one or two?
