Hello everyone,

I have a property in las palmas and my tenants did not pay the rent for 8 months.   my bank has now sued me but a date is not set yeet for  a court hearing.  I have now got enough money to pay for all missed payments including interest but the director of my bank refuses to take the money unless I add 5.000 euros of legal fees to it.

Can anyone advice, please.

Hi everyone,

I have got a property in spain but I am having some problems with it.

The tenants did not pay rent for 8 months and for that I could not keep on with the mortgage repayments. 

I have been sue but a date is not set yet for the hearing.


I have now borrowed enough money to pay for the 8 months plus interest but the Director of my bank (La Caixa) wants me to pay for the legal fees too. And he is refusing to take the money.

Can anyone who know the spanish system advise me on this please?

Remember, I have only been sued but a heairing has not taken place yet. 


Please, please, help!!

I will appreciate any personal or profesional advise.
