Having visited Roda a couple of years ago and finding that the fairways had been hit by a bad winter frost and effectively turning they all yellow can anyone tell me the condition is like at the moment.

Even though they were yellow when we played it didn't spoil our enjoyment, hence we are back again for our 2014 European Tour, the first time we have returned to a resort in 10 years!!!

Can anyone also recommend place to go for something to eat in the evening. We only found the square on our last night and didn't really have time to look around and we went into some kind of american diner for hamburger and chips!

We want to watch the 6 nations rugby and footall on Saturday and Sunday so any suggestions on bar that would accommodate a group of 10 blokes watching this!!

Hello,

In March next year myself and 7 friends will be returning to Roda for a 4 day stay.

We played the course two years ago and despite the fairways being a bit yellow, due to a bad frost in the winter, the course and facilities were superb. Once we found Square with bars and restaurants we had a superb time.

When we suggested going again it was unaniamously decide we would come back!!

Can any residents advise me or point me in the right direction of any minibus hire companies that do transfer from the airport to Roda and can accommodate 8 people, 8 suitcases and 8 sets of golf clubs?

We waited for taxi's last year and after a long wait managed to get four to get us all in so we were thinking a minibus would be a better option. At least we all arrive at the same time!

Hi,

booked a golf trip through golf breaks to Roda in March 2012.

As the organiser it falls on me to make sure it's a successful and enjoyable trip.

I have few questions:

1) Is the complex good for a group of 9 blokes. Not heavy drinkers but like a good time
2) is there much in the way of bars and restaurants near by for an evening meal and drink
3) how is the golf course. Had some comments on it being a bit sandy and other saying it is the best in Spain
4) transfers from the airport to the complex. Anyone know a local company that can ferry 9 golfer, clubs and cases.
5) any more news on the closure of San Javier airport.

Think that is it for now but may have some more later.
