Do not put everbody in the same basket. Where I work they have fired many brits and dutch people because they were lazy. The oldest employee is an arabic girl. My two dutch brothers in law have never worked. My family is spanish and we all have been working all our lifes.

Thread: So This Is Why The Spanish Are Lazy

Hello

I have been viewing properties from banks for seven months. Most of them belonged to English, Dutch or German people. They had a mortgage with a Spanish bank, they did not pay and did not mind to lose their second home.

They are part of the problem in Spain. In England, Holland or Germany they only show poor Spaniards in the news being kicked out of their homes.

Spanish banks are fed up are very carefull now before giving a mortgage to immigrants.

It happened again. An English couple found a nice country house in the Jalon valley and made an offer.

When the buyers solicitor made his inspection, he found out that the owner "forgot" to tell them that there is a plan in the town hall to convert that rural land into urban and the property will lose part of its garden.

A private seller is only interested in selling his house. A professional has many houses for sale and does not care which one you choose.  The seller pays his agents fee and buyers think that this fee will go to them, but this never happens and instead they can lose a lot of money.

I think that business habits in the UK and Europe are outdated and obsolete. In other cultures such as China, nobody does business without a good intermediary because they know that the "Good deals are made with a good intermediary".

Yes, but don´t mix apples with oranges. Buyers always do. Those prices are in Costa blanca south and Murcia. In the nice part of Costa blanca, (the north), in places like Altea, Javea. Moraira, Denia... an apartment is 150.000 and a decent villa starts at 300.000 €.
