I applied for a refund a couple of years ago, it took nearly a year to receive it! One of the hold ups was Peinsa waiting for the the company that introduced us to them to repay the 3000 euros we had placed as the initial deposit. This was obvioulsy the commission paid to them, thats why your having problems - but stick to your guns

 We decided to pull out February 2007, same reasons as everyone else, fed up of the delays and not being able to get an honest answer from anyone. Finally got our money back in November 2007, the delay mainly due to the ineptitude of our Spanish solicitors (Euro Abogados). We did not have to pay a cancellation fee, so I would challenge their request. I hope this site works out for everyone that has been brave enough to hang in there!

Hello all. We have also purchased in phase 3 (No. 54) in April 2005. Went over in June 2006 to have a look and sort out a bank guarantee to help me sleep at night. I hope it's just a case of having to wait for longer than expected and we will finally have more than a patch of ground to pitch a tent! The good news was that going back to San Juan confirmed that when all is finished (including the golf courses) we have made a great choice of location. Looking forward to a celebration drink with you all some time this decade!

We were never given a bank guarantee in the first place and our solicitor (and I use the term loosly) said we would have to pay for it (1600 euro!). After several emails being batted back and forth I asked for compensation for late delivery (our contract said May 2006 completion). This seemed to do the trick and we got the guarantee for free, so just stick to your guns and you'll get it. Rod
