Dear All,

I like all of you trusted and purchased a property off plan at santa ana del monte jumilla golf.

I paid my deposit of around 30k euros and did not receive a bank guarantee.

My current solicitors are very bad at communicating anything and although i have asked them several times to contact me as to what they are doing with my case, eg acting upon the banks under the new law that everyone else seems to be doing.

However, they do not respond. Very frustrating as i am sure everyone else is.

I have therefore looked into using a different solicitor who has offered to represent my case for me to receive my deposit back, in return they will take the interest that has accrued on it once the case has been won.

Is this what other people are doing? If not, what are you doing and do you know how much the interest would be on my deposit based at 30k euros?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I am absolutely furious that there are more delays, everytime i think we might be gettin somewhere a further delay is put in our path. I feel sorry for each and every person wrapped up in this mess. We just want to move on with our life and we could really do with a positive outcome from this- our money back.

1st June decision deadline- i bet that'll soon change again.

WHAT A MESS!!!!!!!

Hi all,

i think that the way we have been treated by SJ and Hdt is disgusting. We have basically been lied to and may lose considerable amounts of money due to the greed of others.

I am currently in the position of deciding whether or not to cancel my contract with SJ/Hdt, but as usual its never as straight forward as it seems-

on one hand- canceling it we might only receive 50% and who knows when we might get it.

on the other hand- if we don't cancel now and the build goes ahead we wil have to go ahead with the purchase of the property otherwise under concursal law they may see us as breaching the contract- how INJUST!

One thing i know is that i definitely do not want the property and i think that anyone who still has any faith in SJ/Hdt is rather crazy.

Is there anyone who is in the position?

Good luck to all.

Thank you kindly for your response.

In many ways i do agree with you, i feel that we have all been treated unfairly and i really do just want out of the situation.

In no way whatsoever, do i wish to go ahead with the purchase of the property and therefore feel that i am better off to get out before the situation becomes even worse.

Good luck to all, and i will update with any more information i can.

congratulations to those who have received their money back, i only wish that we had a bank guarantee!

our solicitors have been in contact with us, in relation to the property we put a deposit down on at Jumilla.

They have inofrmed us that we can cancel our contract- which would mean that HdT would only have to pay us 50% over 5 years or we can hold out for even longer and they cannot then tell us what % or result we might get.

what are your thoughts on this matter?

sometimes is it better to cut your losses or not?

Also when you have received your money back is it at the new exchange rate?

Your thoughts will be much appreciated.
