I spoke with PPM who categorically stated that Altos de Elvira is not going to be built.  (One bed units from 89,000 euros)

Allegedly someone  managed to get planning consent for a further 600 inferior units through the back door - this would contravene Peninsula intentions and the local authorities policy of keep the area a place of natural beauty etc.  There is currently a court case and Peninsula are waiting to hear the outcome before they make a public announcement.  I also understand that the local press have have got hold of the story.

Apparently due to the lack of regulation some agents are already marketing the development and presumably taking deposit with no chance of the development ever being completed.  Peninsula are trying to find out who these agents are to try and close them down.

However, I think I am right is saying that there is still the possibility of a further 300 quality units being built in the future.

If anyone know the full ins and outs please let me know.
