Hi
I noticed this thread and the confusion and some misinformation causing concern for residents
In the current economic climate , I believe we should encouraging all forms of entrepreneurship that allows our spanish neighbours to earn a living. I understand that noise can be an issue with Motocross venues, despite some notes on here the bikes are silenced to 94 decibel reading 2 meters from the exhasust at 4500 rpm and not straight through as claimed.
The sound does carry dependent on wind conditions but they will have been tested for a noise test for the track to gain a licence and the owner will have to conform to it. The test will be to record the a level at maxium rpm and 100 meters away where the maxium level will be 81 decibels and this will be periodically tested.
Therefore with condado being some 1.5km away it is unlkely we will be exceeding the OSHAS limits for daily exposure are below

| 8 |
90dB |

The private track at the red finca is closer and the noise is more prominent but again they were here first and I am sure athat in building the resort and the motorway we so gratefully enjoy there may have endured considerable noise during its construction.
Lets live and let live, we have created a NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) attitude in the UK , lets not transpose our prejudices to the our Spanish friends who are generally more tolerant to the freedom we once had.
